Welcome to 2nd grade - Room 23
Hello! My name is Daryn Coburn, and I am looking forward to being your child's teacher. This is a picture of me as a second grader.
This is my 28th year working with children in our wonderful city of Brea. I began teaching at Arovista Elementary and five years later moved to Brea Jr. High as an Assistant Principal. Then in 2002, I was honored to become the principal at Laurel Elementary. That same year, my son, Clayton, was born. He is a junior at Orange Lutheran High school and plays hockey there. In 2007, my daughter, Danica, arrived. She will be attending Brea Junior High this year, and is so excited to be in 7th grade. She enjoys student leadership, country music, and playing lacrosse. The last five years I served as principal at Mariposa Elementary. I am excited to be back in the classroom and working with children more closely. I have always missed teaching, and at this time in my life, it is the perfect fit for me and my family. My husband, Kyle works at Fullerton Physical Therapy and is the athletic trainer at Troy High School. The Coburns will often be seen at Country Hills helping and volunteering too. I look forward to meeting my students soon, and parents for sure at our Back to School Night on Tuesday, September 3rd. It's going to be an amazing year. I am thrilled to be a part of the Country HIll's Staff. It is a great place to learn and grow together. The best way to contact me is via email ([email protected]).
