Hello! My name is Daryn Coburn, and I am looking forward to being your child's teacher. This is a picture of me in second grade.
This is my 34th year working with children in our wonderful city of Brea. I began teaching at Arovista Elementary and five years later moved to Brea Jr. High as an Assistant Principal. Then in 2002, I was honored to become the principal at Laurel Elementary. That same year, my son, Clayton, was born. He graduated from Boise State University in May 2025 and is working to become a firefighter. I also have a daughter, Danica, and she will be attending Boise State this year and studying Biology. She may use her degree to become a high school teacher some I came to Country Hills in 2018 after serving as principal at Mariposa Elementary. I am excited to be back in the classroom and working with children more closely. I missed teaching, and knew Country Hills was the perfect fit for me and my family. My husband, Kyle is the athletic trainer at Troy High School. I look forward to meeting all our parents at our Back to School Night on Wednesday, September 10th. It's going to be an amazing year. I am thrilled to be a part of the Country HIll's Staff. It is a great place to learn and grow together. The best way to contact me is via email ([email protected]) for now.
